"Here in 2020 we are celebrating Foxdale's 30th Anniversary, counting from September 4, 1990 when residents ate their first meal in the community dining room. On September 16 of that year they invited the public to a formal Open House for the newly completed Community Center and Health Center. Part One of this publication will focus on those years. In Part Two we will provide written and photographic descriptions of Foxdale's physical facilities, from the time it was built to its present expanded state. Part Three will take five-year snapshots of Foxdale, recounting in words and photos how the community celebrated each of those anniversaries. Part Four will describe the three human components of Foxdale which combine to form the community's fabric: the Board, the Staff, and the Residents. Part Five includes half a dozen Foxdale archival records which describe its early history in the words of founders. I highly recommend these to you, as these early authors are the real storytellers of Foxdale's origins."--page 1. |
